Vanessa O’Brien

Vanessa O’Brien is a British-American mountaineer, explorer and former business executive. In 2013 she became the fastest woman to climb the Seven Summits, completing the challenge in 295 days, and landed in the 2015 Guinness Book of World Records. She also became the fastest woman to complete the Explorers Grand Slam (Seven Summits plus skiing the last degree to the North and South Poles), taking just 11 months to do so. She has summited four of the world’s 8,000-metre peaks, including Mt. Everest. Vanessa is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a member of the Explorers Club.
